Volunteer Opportunities

At Talbert House, so many volunteers open their hearts to make a positive difference in the lives of thousands of clients we serve across five different service  lines. The rewards of volunteerism are many, but none is as great as the knowledge that you can and do enhance the lives of those we serve in their journeys toward recovery.

Volunteers are an integral  part of our team, sharing in our commitment to providing the highest quality of care and fulfilling our mission. Your gift of time and your talents are a simple act of caring and your commitment can really make a difference.

Current Opportunities for individuals include:

  • 281-CARE Crisis line support
  • Garden Mentor, help clients at our sites plant, care for, and harvest herbs and vegetables
  • Sober Living Activities Facilitator, assist with a group activity at one of our residential client sites or transitional living houses
  • Special projects for Boy/Girl Scout, leadership advancement

Current Opportunities for Groups include:

  • Host an activity at one of our residential programs or transition living houses (movie night, crafting, book club etc.)
  • Hold a drive for bedding, diapers or hygiene supples
  • Assemble snack packs for case managers to distribute as needed
  • Write messages of hope for clients in recovery
  • Adopt a site to assist regularly

*Civic and Religious groups are welcome.
